uploading to utube

Hiya,

I have had trouble with videos. I have a video which has been filed in a MOV. file. I have tried uploading directly to the forum, but cant. I have tried using quicktime player and also a converter MOV to AVI, but when this converted the video, the words "This is just a trial - buy now" appeared all over it.

So now I am trying to upload to utube but this appears to be taking forever. Can you tell me is this normal. Does this process take 3 - 4 hours or will I be told that the file is "invalid" as I have been told in the past?

Any advice will be truly appreciated

Sorry to hear about the problems with the converters.

How big is the file you are trying to upload. Whats your internet connection?

Hi William,

I am on broadband - Belkin 54g. Hope that is what you are asking.
One video lasts just over a minute and the second one is about 1.45 mins.
Not very big at all.

3-4 hrs is not normal. Usually a vid that short takes no more then 10-15 min for me, and usually less then 5 min. I would try again later, maybe u-tube is having problems

I agree. That lenght really shouldn't take long.

Hi guys, well it just failed. What is it with this MOV file. My new laptop has vista, windows media player, picasa, quicktime player. I don't know why I am having all this trouble. I can't even save it as a different file type. Drat. I have even downloaded software that came with the camera.

Oh well - I might shelve this idea before I go nuts.:help:
