I saw this guy in my frag cup while I was fragging some softies. He must have been on a piece of rock rubble that I took out of my sump for fragging. It looks like a serpent star, but I don't know for sure. He must have hitchhiked when I started my tank and I just haven't seen it

That's a mini brittle star......very beneficial.....put 'em in your tank or refugium!!

I dropped it in my display. It was in my fuge and accidentally ended up in the cup I was fragging in. Luckily I saw him or it might not have made it back into the tank. I think I saw him one time before several months ago, but only for a second. I think it spends most of its time in the sand or under rocks

Probably just one of a multitude which may be residing in your tank (you could literally have several per square inch); they're mostly nocturnal. Great detritivores.
