I am thinking about getting a juwel rio 300 aquarium about 300 liters and putting some cichlids in it and the pump i wanted is a eheim 2080 professionel 3 which pumps 1700l/h is that to much filteration,is there any such thing as to much filteration?its almost a 6 time turnover an hour.

You can NEVER have too much filtration, only too little. GO FOR IT!

I personally have 3 HOBS on my 10g high, but my 20 cant support any more than the old school aquaclear 150 because of the hood.

But as long as your fish arent acting like theyre in a cyclone, go for it!
