I think open ended games like this, and "sandbox" games like grand theft auto do so well because they leave all of the open endedness up to you

I'm not sure what flash games are (I didn't click on the link because sometimes they take too long to load), but there was this little game on the Petfinder.com website that I couldn't stop playing. It was a simple game....click on the square and a picture would show up. Click on another square to try to uncover it's match. Basically it was like Husker Du. I played that stupid game for hours. I don't know why it was so addictive...maybe it had subliminal messages encoded with it or something!

First of all I love that fact that you got that game from addictinggames.com. I used to go to that site all the time when I was bored. Lot's of time was wasted on that site..
Anyways. I started playing that game and thought it was lame.. 3 hours later I was still playing it.. so I must not have thought it was all that lame then huh.. LOL
