my 3g has become too overcrowded with frags, so heres the plan

i found a ad today with some new 10g's for cheap. if i dont get a reply by tomorrow morning, im just going to go to petsmart and grab 2 10g. one for a sump, one for the main frag tank

if the guy im good friends with is at the reef store i go to tomorrow, i'll drop it off with him and get him to drill it and reef ready it so i dont have to deal with the bulk of a overflow. he usually gives me 20%-25% off of everything

after, i'll build the sump. just 1 baffle split halfways. one half for the intake, one for the return. the rest of the sump will have aragonite, a bit of live rock rubble, and some hermits, snails, and crabs.

once i get the main tank back, just get some eggcrate as a shelf, PVC as legs, silicone it down, and voila. instant frag tank. i have pretty much everything but the tanks right now. the return from the sump will be enough flow, lighting ive got a 24" hagen glo 2x24w T5 i can hang over it, and thats pretty much it

Sounds like a good plan to me. What kind of frags are you putting in Cocoa?

mainly polyp corals, my zoas and other polys have gotten out of control in the 125g. my hairy mushrooms arent much better, theyve gtown 500% bigger since i bought them

That will be a good way to thin them down!

Your lighting should be more than enough for those frags. Make sure and post a build thread!!!

sure will!

called just before they closed and the guy i know wont be in for a few days. it would be worth it to wait a few days to save quite a bit of cash. after, build thread!
