You should keep the fry in bare-bottomed tanks filtered by sponge filters, since the fry cannot escape the pull of power filters.

And you should get more female guppies, since just one will be harassed by the males constantly.

You'll have to have a breeder box or similar so the female can give birth. The fry drop through slots she can't follow. If she gives birth in the tank, the fry will be eaten by both she and her mates.

You'll develop a practiced eye in telling when the female is about to give birth. When the front of her abdomen looks flattened, breeding is imminent.

You can use a HOB but you have to add something over the intake to keep the fry from being sucked up. I have used whispers and I just put a biobag over the intake and hold it there with either a rubber band or a plastic zip/cable tie. Live plants help a lot. Micro- and macrofauna on the plants serve as a great food source, and the plant itself functions as a shelter and water quality improver.

I have a 10 gallon tank full of endler's. The substrate is relatively unimportant, sand or bare bottom are easier to clean than gravel. The tank is 3/4 filled with a tangled mass of Najas, and filtered by an air-driven sponge as well as a very small hob. Snails would be helpful to clean up leftover food.

I always suggest starting out with a 10g, heater, sponge filter, no substrate, plenty of fake floating and weighted down plants, & single or trio of pre-hit quality hit females.

but

Since you already have gotten fish..

You really need 3 females to a male. Is there any way you can put 4 males in another tank and buy a few more females?

Tips - Feed tiny amounts of egg yolk & powdered flakes to newborn fry after they have eaten their eggsacks.
If available feed live food like BBS-Baby Brine Shrimp, Vineager Eels, Mosquito Larva, and the like for best growth.
CULL, CULL, CULL!!!!!

Is the tank cycled??
