A little while back I got 12 pracox rainbows from an online dealer. They arrived in very bad condition and I lost all of them within 48 hours. I took some pics and then looked up what they had. Seems they arrived with a bacterial infection and it literally ate them alive. I had only those in that tank. I had another tank cycling so I thought I would try rainbows again. This time I bought 12 boesamani rainbows from a different dealer. They arrrived in pretty good shape. Now today after 7 days I have lost 2 and 3 more have major infections and are swimming funny. I started treatment on tank for bacteria and fungal disease because I currently don't have a tank for quarrantine use. My question is, is this something the rainbows easily get because none of my other fish or tanks have had this problem. It just seems to be the rainbows. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmmm
Must be silly season for Rainbows.... I have 3 male Salmon red, 2 male Boesies and 1 female. One male Boisie Karked while they were feeding. Now one of the Reds are acting strange, hanging around the top were he is usually swimming around with the others playing tag. Now he is hiding amongst the plants out of sight. Other than that his eating...All other Rainbows seems fine ....seems a few people are having Rainbow issues

I don't know if you saw my previous post with my troubled bows. I bought 3 turquoise last month that appeared in good shape and were a good size. Within 3 days, the first one died. Then my 3 female boesemani's died, one more male boeseman's and 20 gold tetra. Some of the fish in that tank were affected and some not affected at all. It's no fun treating them when you have no idea of what you are treating them for either. Whatever it was, it had run it's coarse and done it's damage within two weeks.
I had juvie boesemani's in the same tank that come thru with sailing colors. Not affected at all. Pretty weird.

Yep weird.... The Bosies I bought last week, one was from a local breeder the other an import...the one from local breeder( smaller male) is the one that karked it.
