Now that is good news for all you guys that have a large enough aquarium.

Unless I win the lottery, I shall have to make do with what I've got. Its the wall space I need - too much furniture and too many committments prevents me - drat.

On a more serious note, that is fantastic news. thumbs2:

They need room to swim just as bala shark do & they perfer to be in a group.

So a 70 gallon would be minimum I would think although the bigger the better. :ssmile:

I suspect their captive breeding is similar to the way they produce clown loaches, using ponds right along the side of the rivers they are taken from. It's good to see them doing something besides overharvesting the species from its environment. Apparently they don't want to lose the $$ from the export for the aquarium trade, and decided to do something before it was too late.
