rofl some people have to work on saturday. i was supposed to be off but someone called me to take their shift and i never say no (the girls love me for that (blush)) and i just said sure, if im not already booked that day. looked at the calendar, sure enough it was the 14th. maybe i'll just sit in the employee lounge sobbing eating a heart shaped cupcake alone. lol

lol! I think a safer bet would be to run home after dinner and take a nap then prepare my bedroom for Sunday morning for when the SO gets off work and comes tapping at my window, with a nice fire in the fireplace, a nice bottle of Asti sittin pretty in a bucket of ice some chocolate covered strawberries...and perhaps some tea-lites and rose petals floating around the hottub. Sometimes it isnt just you guys that can do the festive peparations for a nice V-day :22:

Love the baboon one. Me thinks I'll send it to my hubby...

But, man do I hate valentine's day. Makes those who are coupled feel like they have to spend so much money on overpriced roses, dinners, etc and those who are single sad and alienated. Having been in both situations, I hate it equally either way. Plus, they spend weeks on the news talking about gifts you should buy, meals you should cook, etc. Enough already! :spam:

I guess I'm kind of a hipocrit, though, because I just finished making my hubby a "love carrot cake." But anyway, I only spent 3 bucks on it and it was an excuse to try out a new recipe. Would have done it even if it wasn't valentine's day.

No kidding...you couldn't have put it any better. Still like to make the girlfriend feel extra special on this day.....and she never ask or hints for anything costly. She's a good one!!! After 8 years.......I think I'll keep her.:shappy:

Now that's a good boyfriend! That's the way V-day should be, a no pressure opportunity to make your SO feel special.
