Here's a few pics of some woodland we call the Fairy glen,
the little folk are said to hang out here and if you listen
really carefully you can hear them laughing amongst the trees, lol
I hope you enjoy the pics ...

It's a great place for walks, or just to hang out and chill
and get some peace and tranquillity from the real world, lol

It certainly is picturesque. The colours and different shapes of the trees contrast beautifully. A nice walk on a wintery day and then sit in front of an open fire with a cuppa - can't go wrong. lol

I'm in Co. Armagh, the pics were taken in Gosford Forest Park.
This is down the road from us. If you look closely, you can see a moose.
This was taken 2 years ago, but typical of the prairie we live in...

So NOW you know why I love green so much!

It may not be very green Rue but to have wonderful animals
like moose wondering about would be just awesome,
now there's a subject worth photographing, might
be a tad dangerous though, lol
Moose are pretty easy going...just avoid during rutting season, and don't get between mom and baby...
If I had managed to pull my point and shoot out of my purse faster, I might have gotten a better photo...lol...need to work on that...

We've got Moose as well, Rue...They cause moose/ vehicle accidents too often.

I got an e-mail a while back showing a wreck between a car and
a moose, the car definitely came of worse. Geeze they are huge animals.
We don't have many. We're a tad too far south for them...and a bit dry. So it's exciting to see them.thumbs2:
Deer on the other hand...are like cockroaches around here - when you see one, expect 1000 more to follow.:help:
When we moved here in '96 there were only white-tails. The last 5-7 years they're being ousted by the mule deer (larger species).
And yes...they're a major traffic hazard. But people are stupid...you need to slow down on the highways during dawn and dusk...be safer for both people and animals...:scry:
A 45 min. drive southwest from our house and we're in antelope territory. Very cool!

Looks like a nice place to go for a walk!
All of our trails are dirt her and nowhere near as smooth!lol It is wonderful country though! We have our fair share of moose, dear, and bear.Elk have been getting pretty thick over the last few years as well. All are very capeable of totalling a car. They are always around a corner or over a hill but rarely do you get to see them before your bumper does!
