My Ram...Male or Female

I've got to get company for the little guy, as he's all on his own...I'm thinking male, but I really don't know...

He's a lovely looking fish Sharon and as always a stunning photograph. Not sure from the photo what he might be though because the colouring confuses me.

I thought the first black spines of the dorsal were normally longer than the rest on a male but hey I'm a newbie so can't help - sorry. I do agree get the poor fish a partnerthumbs2:

The colouring confuses me too...No black on the pelvic fins indicates male, although he did have black there, when I bought him. The spikes on the Dorsal fin should be longer, for a male. There's no black spot yet, so it's hard to see the blue speckling or lack thereof...

Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like a male to me. Does the anal fin extend past the point where the caudal fin meets the body? If so, it's probably a male.

That's another point to be confused about...the anal fin does not extend past the beginning of the caudal...indicating female....

Nope...my mistake. The anal does extend past the caudal. The pelvic fins do not extend past the anal....

It kinda looks like a male to me.Both the anal and the dorsal fins extend passed the the start of the tail fin usually means its a male.
