Im just itching to start up a new tank, so im caving in and startin up my old 10g acryllic tank.
Ill be using a marinelabs bio-wheel, heater, and all that stuff.
Any stocking suggestions???
I'd like to steer away from cichlids, because i have tons of tanks with em, so I was lookin for some community freshwaters

In our community tank, the bleeding hearts and black phantom tetras are my favorite. We also have red minor tetras that are pretty cute too. :P

crap. Well, somehow the acryllic tank is leaking from the bottom. I cant find a crack or hole anywhere, and its like 2 cm of acryllic, so i guess tomorrow ill get a new 10g with a hood and everything.

oh, by the way, no water damage happened. I noticed a few drips when it was half full, and immediately emptied it.

don't throw it out, though. You could maybe set it up with some other kind of animal in it. A lizard, maybe? something that would be ok with just having a "pond" but obviously you would have the water in a wide bowl or something.

If you poured only cold water in the tank, it might be condensation is what you're seeing? If you filled it with cold water, try it again with warm and see if it still appears to be leaking.

Acrylic is a great insulator though, so stuff doesn't tend to condense on it

CP-
If you can find the leak, you may be able to seal it with aquarium sealant.
Another option are several bumble bee gobies!! They're neat little buggers!!!

well, I went to the lfs. 100$ for a new 10g starter set with hood, and 130$ for a sweet a$$ 20g hagen set with a aquaclear, heater, plants, hood, light, and bulb, video. and food, so i fell apart and bought the 20g. Any stocking suggestions?
I will keep the acryllic. i filled it up again, and it magically drips. Plus I found water in it when I took it out of storage and now when I fill it up it just drips water

Fill it up with water dyed with food coloring. Any water seeping into cracks will be much easier to spot this way.
