Couple pics i took of some shrimp, using an older digi cam, hopefully soon i can borrow my friends D-slr cam.

just thought I'd post em and see what people said, I kinda like the shrimp under the driftwood one. Practice makes perfect right, so my photography can't get any worse i guess :hmm3grin2orange:

I know i definitely need a lot of work on my lighting, hehe.

First shot is pretty good, second is a little dark, but I
love the pose you caught with the shrimp, nice job!

The moss in the first pic that the shrimp is setting on,is that beaked moss that is sold for reptile and amphib use?

No, It's java moss, it looks so bad because it's freshly tied on. And I'm a total novice, so i wasn't able to get all of the root structure tied down to contact the driftwood. Makes it look real brown.

well, at least i bought it as java moss... Does look very similar to the beaked moss though.

I'd take the flash off. It might help.

But the first one does look fine.

Yep I agree, the flash was an accident, every time i switch the auto settings on the cam it turns the flash back on and i forgot. But then the pics with the flash on turned out some of the best. I'm really waiting to borrow that D-slr cam from my friend, then maybe i can take some good pics. The cam I'm working with is like 4 years old and wasn't even top of the line then, combined with my VERY low skill in photography, hehehe. Plus my shrimp tank is out of reach of my tripod. So i have to balance on a stool to take these pics.
