View Full Version : Baby crayfish on the way ???

Last night my blue crayfish was on her side and I thought that she was going to moult. I went away for a little bit and when I came back she had little black eggs under her tale. I have had her since about 2 weeks before x mas and there is no male in the tank shes in? What do I do ?

I believe they can store sperm for quite a long time.... Just leave her alone and the eggs (if viable) will hatch on their own. She will carry the babies under her tail for sometime and when they're ready to go they will just leave her and probably become food for the other inhabitants of your tank.

than wait for her to release them and then remove her from the tank or she will eat them. It might take some time after she releases them before you see any fry even if they are viable.

Aw.... how pretty is she. She really is blue.
