which light?

I have a 29 gal. tank w/dual bulb compact florescent lighting(2x65w). I was wondering which light or combination of lights I should use for a planted dwarf cichlid tank(i.e. 6500k, 10000k). I want my plants and fish to be healthy but I also want my fish colours to stand out.

I was always told that plants do better under the 6500K light.
