Just two weeks ago I bought a new buddy! He's a chocolate Lab, I got from a breeder. I named him Moose, because of his color, I also imagine he'd get to the size of a moose, too.

My family bought a Lab when I was younger. His name was Friendly (hence my user name). Unfortunately he got ill and died, maybe in 2003. He was very loyal, and cool with the kids. I'm sure all dogs are like that if you give them enough care, and love, TLC.

The first two pics of him are from two weeks ago. The last one was taken today. He's 8 weeks old. And he already peed on the bed sheet you see in the first pic, too.

He's also quite the lady-killer, too. Three ladies came up to me (Moose, actually) at the park, and two at Petcos (keepin' a tally). Can you believe that?! Aw, man, I'm so jealous.

He's very cute! I've had a yellow lab and a black but not a chocolate. Great dogs but quite a handful if you don't start training early. Good luck and please keep posting pics of him so we can watch him grow up! :shappy:

Chocolate Labs are my favorite!! I had a male that weighed 110# and he was hunted, stayed in great shape.

The best friend I've ever had, he's been gone 4yrs now and we still miss him.

Be advised, they can clear a coffee table with one swipe of the tail:hmm3grin2orange:

OMG between the lab tail and the dane tail I don't know which was worse. Well, I guess the dane. The lab could clear a coffee table but the dane could bring tears to a guys eyes...(blush)

Adorable!! Labs are my favorite! I grew up with a yellow lab (Molly) My parents got her when I was two. Dad wanted a duck hunting partner, but after she burned her toungue on coffee she never wanted to go again, lol. She passed on at 13 or 14, I miss her. My s/o had a black lab (hit by ambulance :( ) and currently has a chocolate (Maggie) She is my excercise/walking motivator, and has quite the personality, I love her!

Labs are an awesome breed, I've seen it with our first family dog, Friendly, and I'm sure Moose would end up the same.

awwwhhhh..... He is soooo cute!! I love the choc labs outta all the "labs" the best! I love the name....it's been my husbands nickname since he was 2yrs old! LOL

How adorable!! I just absolutely love love love chocolate labs! A friend of mine's parents breed labs, and I've always been tempted to get a chocolate lab from them. So gorgeous. :]

Thanks Ellen, Labs are really awesome companions. I never come home to crabby face- 'cept the one on the couch watching her Grey's Anatomy boxed set

Yeah, of course, I'll try to keep posting some pics. It's also a guy btw, but it's no problem, I get it all wrong when I see my friend's dog. Thanks for the kind comment.
