Take a chair...lay your casted arm on it and use it to balance the camera on it :hmm3grin2orange: I would like to complain here that there are no left handed camera's!!!! Or are there? The shutter button is on the wrong side with a broken arm :help: LOL

Anyway the pics are not as disastrous as I thought they would be... (blush)

Wow I wonder if someone would lend me a cast to rest my camera on? lol
Seriously though, those are quality pics jess, your DOF is spot on and I
love the detail you got on the pics, especially 1, 3, and 5.
Did you use flash for those pics?

Very nice pic's. thumbs2:

I've made several attempts to take photo's of the fish in my tank but they have not come out very good. I believe my "point and shoot" Canon just won't allow a fast enough shutter speed for the fish while they're swimming.

Excellent! I can't even come close with 2 good arms, and a decent camera!

Hey, the last two pictures! Looks like you "borrowed" some of my fish :hmm3grin2orange: Great pictures, talent just shines even with a cast encumbering you.

I suspect that you aren't using a flash...care to share settings? I do not get that quality of light...but suspect my tank lights are very dim in comparison to yours. Nice clean glass, too, by the way.

Hmmmm, might just go delete my new thread with piccies...had it not taken forever to upload them <sobs>.

Your pics are briliiant Fins!!! Cannot believe you have only been doing it for a day...just wait til you put me to shame in a week :11:

Thank you for the nice comments - I love you guys - always kind words :19:

You can have my cast on Monday when it comes off Brookfish xxx

Settings:
Sport Setting on EOS (running man)
Flash Off
Auto ISO
Between F4.5 and F5.6
around shutterspeed 2"

It varies between the pics but I only use manual focus and when my arm is not broken ISO 100 or 200

Most shocking is that these are with the standard kit lens...it is the lightest so was easiest for me to use at the moment.

What? Sport setting? And here I am thinking that you have a cast and managed to make a bunch of specialized settings :hmm3grin2orange: I gotta play around some more. The kit lens is pretty amazing even though the ratings vary from love to hate. You still take amazing pictures!

I couldn't take a photo like that using two good arms and both hands and feet. Great photos.
