Hello All,
I need an advise from a lighting master if I can use the AGA Compact Fluorescent Straight Pin Bulbs (21" 55W either 8000k or 10000k) for the 24 inch long coralife aqualight fixture (supposed to have 21" 65W 6700k for freshwater tank) without any problem and (even) if I can, is there any demerit for using it compared to original coralife bulbs for a purpose of establishing plants. Sorry for asking an ignorant question, but any suggestion will be appreciative.
Thank you for your time in advance!

as long as the pin configuration is the same, actually there are no "65watt" bulbs, they are 55w that are overdriven

Thank you for your instruction. Are there different size for the straight pin though between different companies (Coralife and All Grass)? Also, do they have many differences quality wise?

Power compact lights come in two sizes, depending on the length of the fixture. The sizes are standardized. Just take one of your old bulbs to the shop and say you want one like this. Or measure your light (bet it's 21 inches) and get one the same size off the net.

And since most compact florescence bulbs are made by the same manufacturer for several companies (brands) there isn't a lot of difference between them.

Thank you very much for your instruction. I was surprised and happy to hear that - the price between them (Coralife 65W 6700k and All Grass 55W 8000k) are more than double!! I do not know why don't people buy cheaper one then??
