Here's a couple shots of my latest spawn of boesemani and turquoise. Gosh these guys seem to take forever to grow a bit but they are so tiny when born I have to look at them with a magnifying glass to even see them. Seems to me they are 6 weeks old and still half the size of new neons.....and I don't mean the jumbo's.

Could someone please sex these for me?
thumbs2:

Those are great pics. I bet they will be beautiful when they get all there colours.

Have you tried feeding frozen marine rotifers?

They are smaller than baby brine shrimp and are a high calorie food.

I feed my cichlid fry those and they grow real quick :)

The way it's going with these bows, I will have all females.

You mention that you expect them to be mostly female? Are Rainbows like some other fish...sex of the fry depends on PH?

Never heard of pH affecting sex ratios, I thought it was temperature...

I've read that the ph affects the sex ratio in Kribensis cichlids, some Apistogammas, and Bettas. There are more but I can't recall now. I'm not sure if Rainbows would fall into this group...Gotta check it out...

I've heard that too but don't know if they are talking higher or lower. If temps have something to do with it, I certainly can change that easy enough.

Great pics. For me I have heard that the temp is what changes the sex of they fry with Kribs, as for Rainbows??

Hope the fry survive. As for them growing as far as I know they are all quite slow growing up to a point, then they pic up.

I know! But they have gone from magnifying glass size to where I can actually see them 5 ft away. LOL They eat like crazy and 6 times a day.
