My male venustus, unfortunately my outdated digital camera didn't capture the best of him.

The female.

I've had these two for months, and they've been doing wonderfully. I keep my pH at 7.8 or 8.0 for their liking. In the beginning the male bullied the girl around, but nothing serious. Now they look bright and happy. Both of them grew a lot since I bought them.

This is when my Oscar was a little dude.

and now, not sure of how much time passed between these shots...but it definitely hasn't been more than a year.

It may never happen but be careful your fish don't knock over that rock pile and crack the back of the tank.
Nice fish also.

I myself don't like rock piles with fish, they could bump them or dig at the gravel around it and knock it over. Not knocking your tank, looks good, just giving my opinion.

No you have good points. :22: The main reason I have this pile of rock (actually dead coral) is to keep my pH up for those venustus. Although I did always want some type of rock set up in there. I just rearranged them to look like a colosseum to make it safer for my oscar :P!

And thank you for the kind comments everyone :D
