Went today to a chinese restaruant with my co-workers, and right when we walk in they have a 100g tank with 4 fish (over stocked, 2 blood parrots, 1 silver arowana, and this unknown fish).
When i first walked in i thought it was a Red Belly Pacu. Then when i actually got a second to look at it after the meal i saw it was no Pacu. It had the same kind of characteristics as cichlids like oscars, and even parrots.
It was fairly large, a deep black color, maybe a really dark brown. The fins where a deep red tint on the edges and tips.
It looked a lot like this cichlid in terms of the mouth shape and the fin structure, but as I said he was a dark solid color, but with the red fins.

Its been driving me nuts all day. I've been searching online but I can't figure it out. For all I know its not a cichlid, or a hybrid, I can't tell. This wasn't there only tank, they also had I'd bet a 30-40g saltwater hex tank, but only thing in it was a peppermint shrimp and a small clown fish. It looked quite nice actually with a Fluval canister filter, and a very nice looking protein skimmer.
