Just thoguht i'd introduce myself. I'm the new guy.

Just taken up this new hobby and in the the middle of cycling agony. NITRITES wont go down! (See other post in freshwater basics)

Anyway this forum has been absolutely awesome with amazing adive.

The bacteria that grows that eats up the nitrites takes longer than the ammonia eating bacteria. When your readings change, it will happen almost all at once.
