Hi there!

I saw these decorations at the aquarium shop and was wondering if anyone's used them. They're by a company called Penn Plax and they're called Crysta-Lites. They're acrylic crystal-looking decorations that run on electricity to illuminate and change color. They look really neat, but I've never seen one plugged in and actually working in an aquarium. Just wondering if it's worth the $25.99 price tag.

I've attempted to attach a pic of it here, but I'm not sure if it'll work.

Good job with the pic and welcome to the forum. I think worth is something that can only be determined by you. It might look cool. Love your little avatar thing btw.

I've seen these and don't feel they are worth the money. They are very small if your read on the sizes for them.

Thanks! Wish I'd been the one who was creative enough to actually produced the avatar, but it's appropriate (and funny) nonetheless! You and CocoaPleco will be scouring the grocery stores in search of "sex-free drinking water"! thumbs2:

They are a little small, but maybe it won't get lost in the little 5-gallon jobbie that I'm planning on getting. Perhaps I'll keep checking Ebay or Amazon and see if someone's selling one used at a decent price. On the same page in the Penn Plax catalog they have castles and wizards too. Maybe I can get creative and make an aquatic homage to Lord of the Rings!
