i'm very pleased to report that maracyn will kill BGA(cyanobacteria) its been 4 days since i started the treatment. last dose today. just in case but the stuff has died on the sand , wood and rocks... still left with green water but that i can clear up with changes and if neccesary i got a uv, and a micron filter. hasnt hurt the fish or plants so i'm right stoked.. now its time to start some ferts and begin to look into co2

...doesn't it kill off all your nitrifying bacteria too?

nope tank params are the same as when i started 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and around 5 nitrate i need to start dosing nitrates to hopefully keep it from coming back
