I have a blacklight that will fit my 10g, and I was wondering if its safe to use blacklights

from what i read yes it is safe to use blacklights, the only effect i have heard of is bringing out very vivid coloration in your swimming friends:thumb:

well, that bombed. In light and dark, the aquarium looked like a light black sewer. The water looked REALLY cloudy cause of the blacklight too

Maybe you could try moon lighting? There's some specifically made for aquariums, so it should be pretty cool for night viewing.

try luner lighting, i got some from a company named curent,they are cheap and you can link them together

It's Lunar Lights, just incase anyone googles it. They look pretty neat.

I found the current lunar lights to suck, there too weak and it looks like a small spotlight of thin light piercing through. I just bought this awesome lunar light fixture. it is 32'' for my 48'' tank. comes with 35 leds...compared to currents 2. for 30$. it is fully submersable and just came in the mail today, ill post pictures of it tomorrow.here is the link [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
