Well I have had a barrage of fish that I have had for a few and then took back to the LFS to quarantine so they'll at least have a fighting chance...I always learn the hard way. Anyway I have a good size perc now that was at the LFS for a year. I have had him for a few days. He is eating good but his coat is looking light and dry. Some white...looks like the beginning of the disease. I have my 10 gallon quarantine/hospital up and running now. I am gonna use some formalin and see if he will pull through. If I quarantine him for a week...do you think what ever is in my tank will die? He is the only resident besides the well loved CUC. Everything else in my tank is thriving.

Sounds like brooklynia, and I think that takes about 4-6 weeks to clear out of a tank.

However, I am pretty sure that the disease only effects clowns???
