Ive recently switched over to using Seachem's Prime due to hearing some horror stories from fellow fishkeepers about their water company having ammonia, nitrites and nitrates randomly appear in their tap water. I had been using some cheapo DrsFosterSmith brand at my LFS as it was like $11 for 64oz, but considering how concentrated Prime is a 500ml bottle will treat alot more water for the same cost.

None...the water is so clean here in the Netherlands and free of chemicals it would just be a waste of money here :19: :19: :19:

I use Aqua-plus. It has always seemed to work well for me.I also do not have much variety up here.

same here, although I do have a wide variety to choose from. AquaPlus has always been the best IMO. Never a problem.

I use API dechlorinator. It is a local company, but it works great. It lasts me forever too.

I use API tap water conditioner because I know there is no ammonia\chloramines in my tap water. I check with the local water utility occationally to make sure they haven't changed their sanitation methods. It lasts forever and there's nothing extra in it that my fish do not need. Less is more.

I use a combo of NovAqua+ and Stress Coat. I have had great success with keeping several fish alive for a VERY long time and in raising fry.

NovAqua+ rules! And yeah, I usually pick up the big gallon containers. Those last me about a year.

lol, I didnt have to use any for the last 7 years because the house my parents bought here in the country had its own well, they switched over to public water a few weeks ago...its kinda hard to get back into the habit of using it on my home tanks. One good thing is that the water is much softer and has a lower pH so the fish do seem to enjoy it more than my former liquid rock:22:

If you have well water, you don't need to condition the water? :o

I use the Topfin water conditioner. a while back when i went to my LFS it was on a crazy clearance, like 70% off, tagged on one bottle they had on the bottom shelf. Before i even had fish in the tank, and that was when i had purposely gone to the store to get a test kit, dechlorinator, and something else i forget what, all on a budget. I haven't had any problems with it. At first i was hesitant, wondering why it was on such a crazy clearance, but it was still sealed and all and I have had no problems with it. Maybe once i need a new bottle I'll try the Novaqua+ or maybe the Prime, cause so many people (well a few at least) are recommending or using those. For now though I'm happy with it, and i wouldn't go out and buy something different when what i have seems to work great.

I would like to hear though, if someone has had bad results with this product. I had an old hot tub test kit that tested for chlorine and it would register really low if any chlorine after treatment, Unfortunately I had to leave that at my other house with the hot tub when we rented it out.
