will pure ammonia harm the plants during fishless cycling? some say with plants you don`t need to cycle your tank, if this is the case how many plants would be enough in a 55 gal. aquarium?

The live plants actually like ammonia as long as it is not way too high. so no, it will not harm the plants, but actually help them
