I bought a battery powered siphon yesterday, but it sucks up waste, and traps it a net, so no water is removed. Its perfect for every day use.

Also, it was only ten bucks, which was surprisingly cheap

its a vacuum that runs on 2 c batteries, and has an impeller, which sucks water in and thru the net.Theres also a clip if your want to leave it hanging running 24/7.
