That's not too bad, I've seen much worse.
All he really has to do is take a few fish back. They're still tiny so the store should take them.

They are talking mainly about the stand that the tank is sitting on, I believe; not just about the stocking. I don't even give it months before something cracks or starts leaking.

I foresee a catastrophic failure in this guy's future. I'm surprised the tank has not ruptured or collapsed already. It is very important to make sure the entire bottom of the tank is supported. :ssuprised:

Hopefully he can pick them up of the floor, after the tank bursts from lack of support, before they're too close to dead. :ssuprised:

:ssuprised: oh my god lol
Thats so terrible, I feel bad for the fish's. Its sad knowing their fate by looking at a photo taken by a very un informed pet owner.

once you've bought the tank filter and whatnot, why would you want to spend extra money on a stand, just plop that 400 or so pounds of weight on any old thing. heck i build my stands out of toothpicks and straws, i like having about an inch of water and decaying fish on my floor.

Ooooooooooooo....
See, as a fishkeeper that's the very last thing I see when I spot a new aquarium! I didn't even know there was a stand there! Ya, that guy is really in trouble.

If the tank doesn't break on it's own, the Bala Shark might do it for him.
You would think the guy would at least put a board under the tank to support it... I wish I could be there when it goes!
Boy something is going to happen soon. Stressed glass = breaks. It may not happen for a while but it will happen unless something changes fast.
Also for the stocking. Sounds quite exotic, and very incompatible.
Hope this person dose not end up having to learn the hard way.
EDITE: Just looking at the stand. There is a large amount of stress on the stand. Looking at the base of the tank and the stand I think the stand may give way first. Just depends on the stand though.

I do not think that it is right to mix coldwater and freshwater.

yeah, yours wasnt bad, just didnt want you to have water and fish allover the floor
the people who dont listen to advice like that get owned. a guy had a 125g reef that was a inch and a bit unlevel, and we all told him to level it. he never, and sure enough about a year later, the whole front panel of glass flew out and he had is own living room floor reef.

If you want to get your tank going that bad and can't afford a stand, why not the floor?

Save buying 5 fish and buy a piece of plywood and some cinder blocks at least.....
