Her name is Muff, do excuse the black on her nose...she got into my semi wet painting, the rest of the paint just wont budge yet.

She is a beautiful kitty, too. How nice she has had such a good home for so many years.

well then I'll correct that, happy birthday Muff, and stay away from the wet paint! She does look a bit like she's considering her next mischievous move.

Cats and dogs are drawn to wet paint.
Every house I ever painted the cat or dog insisted on laying down against it.

lol...my dog lies down in paint to if he can get to it. I guess they see their owner "playing" in it and want to play to. This bday is kind of special for the old girl, because she was on deaths door a few months ago. She had developed feline diabetes and lost alot of weight. In a matter of a few weeks she went for being an obese 22lb Main Coon to being skin and bone, she was listless and just not doing well at all. My usual vet went away on vacation for a month...so we took her to another one that said she was just old medically she was fine. The day my regular vet got back I had her at his door...she was diagnosed that day with feline diabetes. Changed her diet from dry catfood to just certain types of canned cat food and fresh meat....check her blood sugar from time to time and she has been on the mend since. So far she hasnt needed to have daily blood sugar readings or insulin, I guess we caught it in time and got her on a really strict diet. Shes almost back up to a normal weight and honestly she acts better now than she did when she was half her age.
So beware feeding your cats dry catfood...the carb content in it is totally un-natural for cats, and could eventually cause diabetes.
Thanks for the kind wishes everyone...means alot :22:
