Just thought Id make a journal for my random fish pictures since I take so many...instead of having 20 threads:22:

First off is my remodeled 150G...my fish have grown larger so I opened up the decore to be a bit more sparse to suit their needs.

Yeah the TSN and my Os are good buddies, they usually hang out together most of the day.

Thanks KF...he is growing into a lovely fish :) His growth rate has really slowed down the last few months so Im hoping I dont have to take him to the LFS or set up the stock trough for him before I move out and can get him his 300G wide.

Wonderful fish!thumbs2:
Thanks! I try to keep them in good condition

My LFS has a 20" TSN, hes grown maybe an inch in the 6months Ive been working there. Ive never seen one over 2ft in the home tank...how large is the one at your LFS?

I would guess that it is about 2.5 - 3 feet long including tail and I am not kidding. It's huge. I will dig out the pic for you today. :ssmile:

Thanks for posting that Celtic Fins! :22: I cant wait untill my TSN is a monster like that one!

Thanks Sandy, TSN are wonderful fish so owner responsive and friendly. Plus unlike alot of the so called "tank busters" these are very calm natured and gentle...if I need him to move during a WC I just take him by the tail and move him or push him on the nose why my python...he also picks his whiskers up for me to gravel vac around him.

Thanks Celtic Fins, I may have to do that :)

Thanks to you as well Taurus, I will admit I had no desire to own a TSN...my mom bought the fish from some chain store at a mall she went to while visiting family a couple hours from here. It was about 2" long and very "cute" at the time, guess he suckered her in. But I still feel its my job to provide the best home I can for the fish. Fortunatly my 150G has a 20" width...so hes still got some room which will hopefully hold out as I mentioned till I can get his 300G wide which is 8ft*30"*24"...if he starts to show signs of outgrowing it then I guess he'll have to go into an indoor pond style enclosure....but thats far down the road :22:

Very good looking fish, and good plan for the future, but is there a place you could bring him if needed to, that could house properly?

Well the LFS I manage has that 30" wide 225G....and I have a 450G stock trough I bought from a local buy/sale ad for "just incase it grows to large to fast". Thats my last resort as Id have to move one of my cars out the garage to set it up...plus I like being able to see him from all sides but if its necessary it will be put up :) I like having back up plans just incase, Id go ahead and get the 300G now but I sadly couldnt get it into my room without tearing a wall out which isnt an option.

If I didnt live between my tanks I wouldnt either....Ive also learned to be minimalistic to accomdate more tanks, I guess "normal" people would call that obsessive.

I got a new fish...so I gotta show him off, hes a Kingsleyae Ctenopoma and a bit over 6"

Heres a shot with one of the Archers...theyve been living in full FW for around 2 months now and I actually think they are doing better than in the mid range brackish...more appetite and color is better; highly adaptive species
