How long should I expect Oscar to live?

I know this question is subjective but under good care how long have you been able to keep them?
We are really getting attached to our O.

15y years if kept in the right sized tank with the proper diet and maintanence.
Oscars are slobs and require lots of large water changes.
Live feeders is not a healthy diet.NLS sinking pellets as well as many fruits and veggies!

Opps! I just noticed the other thread. 20 years is a long time!

They can live 20 years and grow 16"+ if properly cared for. If you feed a high quality pellet such as hikari thumbs2: as well as a large variety of foods and keep them in a large tank is when they reach their full potential.
