How can we expect more? Stupid people leave babies in their cars.

He probably didn't want to pay for boarding fees... but seriously... you get out at an airport and unload your luggage... but don't notice your poodle!? Wonder if it was a standard... probably not, that would be impossible. Poor dog. 19 days.

Without food AND water for 19days?????? I'm no expert but I don't think that's even possible.

Either way it's still a sad story.

No, it was a miniature.

It was a miniature poodle.. I just wonder what color.

It's got to be bogus though.. besides.. even if it DID just happen to jump in the car unnoticed.. the person who would be watching it would have noticed it was missing...

The owner, 50-year-old Pascal Bellon of Frelighsburg, Quebec, says he didn't know the dog was in the vehicle.

That's so ridiculous, how could you not know you didn't make arrangements for your dog to be taken care of while you were going out of town for that long. Or any length of time for that matter. I take my dog almost everywhere with me, i can't even make a decent trip to a supermarket most of the time cause I'm worried about leaving him in the car too long.

Sadly i think abaigael04 may be correct. The guy may have been to cheap to pay for it to be boarded. I guess i have to say it might be possible that he truly did not know. In either case this person should never be allowed to keep animals of any type again. Very sad, but i'm glad to hear the dog survived.

Gosh! Maybe he didn't realize the dog was in the car. If he had no concern for the dog, he must have known that the car would be a mess when he got back...

Oh Jeez that's bad. But it is amazing a dog of that size could go so long without at least water. :scry:

There is no excuse for what he did.I doubt he forgot anything he just did not want to miss his flight. Its probably his better halfs dog and he was trying to piss her off.
It could have been payback for something.
Was he charged?

Forgetting is not an excuse...more of an explanation. It just seems really odd. Usually if someone would neglect an animal so badly, he'd have left it in a shed or tied to a tree. He wouldn't have had to deal with the mess when he got back....and getting into the car. Not much point in speculating on it, though. There's a lot of possibilities....

The question is this: How stupid can you get??
Some people just need to run out and buy a conscience. That irresponsible pet owner really needs to get some help. I mean seriously, no pet owner who's mind functions properly would just forget about his/her dog, or even worse, intentionally leave it in a van.
