When you have moved your current tanks twice already and making room for another.

When you go to the store for groceries and come with with a fish and no groceries.

When you no longer can afford to go out to eat or buy winter boots.

When you make coffee in the dark in the morning because you don't want to wake your fish up.

My 30 gallon sits on a TV cart with wheels. Still can't move it unless it's about empty. Maybe 15 inch tires with wide rims?

When you start off with one 10g tank and 3 months later have 4 running tanks in your house one of them being a 55g. And then seeing a 180g and thinking about buying it(if I lived in my own house it would be mine).

When you spend all of your extra time researching fish you know won't be able to keep. (I've spent tons of hours researching piranha, but they are illegal here--I still read about their care, though)

When you would rather stay home to nurse a sick fish than go to a friend's party on a Saturday night.

When you meet up in front of your favorite LFS with other local hobbyists to have a fish "swap" party. (heh - I'll be doing this tomorrow)

When your fish have more variety of food than you do.

When you have had several dreams about your fish - both good and bad dreams.

here ya go.....i can tell im hooked due to the fact i have my LFS phone number hanging in my tool box at work. and im thinking about modifing my tool box to fit a tank in it to keep fish with me at work...... no joke!:1luvu:

Ok, Here's one that JUST happened to me. I walked into the LFS and the department head of the fish department walks up and says "I have some fish for you" we walk back and he nets me up the red danios that I have had my eye on. No Charge!thumbs2: He wants me find out if they are regular danios or the glo-fish kind. Had to bring them home in my coat due to the below freezing temps.
