goofy clams?

is it normal for clams to stand on their heads? lol Well if the had a head? I found mine upside down the other day. Did it himself too. Both of my clams seem to want to lay on their sides and almost get out of the light. Heading for the rocks. They open up when the lights come on.

They jump if they don't like their location. But they don't always end up in a better spot...

the bigger one, for awhile, had stuck its "tail" (?) in a snail shell. Caught me off guard when I changed out the old shells for the hermits and it was attached to the clam!
