I remember reading in a post of Hobbs about self adhesive backgrounds for tanks, it is the 1st time I had heard of them, but sounds like a good idea, I can never get the others to go on without bubbles, even tried wetting them and squeagying them on, has anyone from Australia ever seen the adhesive ones over here?

Yes, they stick like shelving paper to your tank. I'd like them myself instead of having to use tape and the water getting in behind them, etc.

I actually saw on a UK site aquarium backgrounds that stuck to the inside of the tank. Not the rock formations but actually a plastic type stuff that goes inside.

I was seriously thinking of making a 3d background, but styrofoam in the aquarium just does not seem right to me, I am very carefull of anything like that in my tanks.

I know what you mean. And what about pieces that may get broken off or you want to change the background.

Some of the backgrounds here are more of a heavy plastic than paper and have no wrinkles to contend with.
