Part 1: The stand. It started life as an all black stand, however we own a century home where all our woodwork is white. Enough said (said my wife, paint it white) It was completely taken apart, sanded and KILZ'd. Two coats of semi-gloss ultra white trim paint ( inside and outside) . Brushed nickel knobs. I added that center piece down the middle in the front where the doors meet. I have a heavy duty 8 plug power strip that I ordered that I will mount inside on the back wall of the stand, to plug everything in that single location and have only ONE plug coming from the stand to the wall outlet. It looks AWESOME....Now I need to get working on the hood. Should be able to get it set up and going in the next couple of weeks.

It really is nice looking! And what's really nice is the stand has that lip around it so it will cover up the black trim on the tank. Nice move.

Part 1A: Power strip is installed. It is a heavy duty 8 plug pwer strip with a 15' lead cord attached. All aluminum body. Nice thing is too, I can plug everything in and have each cord have a "drip loop" so that way any water coming over the back of the tank that runs down any cord will drip off before it hits the strip. First pic shows the mounts for the strip and second pic shows the strip installed. Overkill yes, but that's me.
