Hi guys.
I was wondering if any of you have a favorite cichlid. One you have kept in the past or already have or have been looking for to get.
My favorite cichlid right now is :-
Thorichthys Eliotti
I think they are stunning little fish. Hard to come by too.
Here is a couple of pics :ssmile:

Congrats on breeding the Ellioti, did you know that they now known as Thorichthys maculipinnis instead of Thorichthys ellioti, and have been
for a few years, still most cichlid keepers still go by the old name
Thorichthys Ellioti.
Oh my fav Cichlids at the moment are my Frontosas.

Thanks Brookfish.
I knew of the name change but as most still use the same name I posted it as such. :ssmile:
I think there is too much confusion and too many name changes to keep up with tell the truth. :hmm3grin2orange:
I think your fronts and calvus are stunning fish. thumbs2:

I think the nicest cichlid I've ever owned was a Jaguar Cichlid. At one point, we had 4 female Red Zebras and they all had babies within a week, fry everywhere! They are nice, but way too aggressive.

Those are awesome pics of Thorichthys Eliotti Celtic Fins, very cool.
My favorite cichlid would be angels, they are cichlids aren't they, I'm pretty sure they are. Well if they aren't (which I'm pretty sure they are) you can call me wrong, and embarrass me.
Angels are the only cichlid I have been successful in keeping with community fish. Sometimes.

Yes angels are cichlids. I really like Angles myself but I just haven't the patience for them as they don't lay there eggs like normal cichlids in one place they will lay all over the tank given the chance.:hmm3grin2orange:

Yeah, I've seen the eggs before. I would like to have a mating pair, but I have only one angel at the moment. But they're pretty cool fish, though.
