Bio wheel filter

I have a new tank and an aqua-tech filter. Do you think it would be worthwhile to buy a bio wheel filter? Are they that much better?

get an AquaClear filter instead, I had some bad experiences with bio wheel filters and I don't recommend them at all. My bio wheel stopped spinning for good at it threw of my cycle so i ended up having to go through a mini cycle. :/
