i dont know what though. the last few days he acted a bit weird but i thought nothing of it. i had my old coralife skimmer on the back of my 125g not running, and he likes to sleep behind the output. the last few days, he was up there for some of the day and i thought nothing of it

im selling the skimmer so i ripped it off the tank, and something is wrong with the trigger. he seems to have trouble stabilizing himself, he will try to swim straight but then he leans to the left and swims like that, then he fights to get upright and ends up leaning to the right. he leans on my live rock and sits there to rest.

does this sound like swim bladder or something? hes fed appropriate food and my water quality is dead on perfect

Sounds like it to me. Will he eat peas?

not sure. i fed the tank and he ate like normal, just seems like hes having trouble keeping upright.

My money would be on a swim bladder issue.

hes looking a bit better, mornings he comes out to see me and comes out for food but thats about it. he found a shady cave to sit in. he can keep himself stable again pretty good but he still isnt perfect

Sorry to hear that he died.

Any better idea of what went wrong?

im not sure. he was taking care of himself sitting upright in a cave and nobody was bugging him.

i think there was always something up with him, at the stock tank at big als he was swimming at a slight angle. i think maybe he always had a swim bladder problem and it just progressed with age
