Sounds like planaria. Harmless little things, but unsightly. Only thing really to get rid of them is keeping up on water changes. Keep the water quality very high and keep vacuuming the gravel and they will eventually go away.

You may want to feed a liitle less for a while.
It will help.:22:

Had planaria once, ended up doing several water changes for a week or so. Also turned out I was overfeeding, so I cut back on that as well. That will help cut down on snails too.

Planaria is a flat worm, not thread like at all. It's a plain old Detritus Worm. Very common. My Zebra fish love them. They seem to home in on every one floating in the water.

If you have noticeable worms in the aquarium its likely due to overfeeding. If you are seeing them on a regular basis change ur feeding regiment and up your water change regiment for a while.

The worms arent a problem, but whats causing the worms is a potential problem.
