Hey world I'm new to this site. I currently have an est. 10 gallon aquarium w/ 11 fish in it. I'm really not sure what kind of fish i have but they are really beautifull fish. I just bought a 55 gallon tank. I want to get some zebra cichlids to put in it. My questions are what do need to do in order to set up my new tank. What kind of plants can i put in the tank with these fish? Are their any other fish that i can put in with them? How do I get ph level to and keep them at the levels that they should be at? I've read lots of online articles about cichlids but they all say so many differnt things i just need real advise from someone that has experince in raiseing cichlids. thx for any advise.

Zebras are best by themselves maybe a larger plecostumus but i probably wouldnt do that. for ph it matters what your ph levels are right now, but for plants my friend's zebras tore up the live plants so even though live plants help to convert nitrite to nitrate if you you do water changes im sure the fish would do great with plastic or velvet plants. Zebras are also extremelly easy to breed and they're very pretty so good luck
