I picked up a few bumblebee gobies this weekend and have them in a 10 gallon, is it O.K. for a little while to not have them in salt? If not would the salt at walmart without iodine be O.K. or should I wait til I can come up with the money for regular salt for aquariums?

For a short time you could, but not advisable. Make sure you pick up sea salt not aquarrium salt.

I'm not sure but I think for $20 you can get enough to mix for 50 gallons.

This is where research first is not something you want to hear! Sorry,You should return them asap and find out if they will hang on to them until your tank is ready.
Never buy a fish without the right tank!

I apologize for the bad news but there is a large chance that they will not make it.
They also only eat live foods!

i would get the sea salt ASAP. they don't do well for very long without proper water conditions. i have read many places that say they will eat only live food, but i used to have some and they ate flake food just fine. As it floated down they would swim over and grab it. (guess the fact it was moving made it more "live") life foods would definitely be better for them though.

Northernguy is right though, you should have done research, set-up the tank, then bought the fish. Things turn out better that way.

I IMO would do some very quick research on these fish ASAP, so you know the requirements on how to keep these fish.

Then once you research these fish I would then set the tank up appropriately cycled and designed just for these fish.

As for feeding them they are best feed live foods always. But some Bumble Bee Gobies can be weened of live foods on to flakes.

Sorry about having to say return them, but it is for the betterment of the fish.
