how big or how long until baby black convicts can be removed or rehomed away from there parents this is the first time i have had baby convicts in my aquarium. any information would be helpful.

Hi Mike congrats on the babies, The fry can be moved once they are
free swimming and have eaten their yolk sac, but you could leave
them with the parents untill the adult fish show signs of breeding again.
usually 3-4 weeks, then move the babies to a grow out tank, keep
the water as clean as possibe with regular water changes, feed
them 5-6 times a day on a quality crushed flake food or ideally BBS
(only feed a little at a time and remove left over food immediatly)
and you will soon have healthy young juvies.
