I just got the 50ft python siphon for both my 55 and 29 gallons, mostly the 55. Anyways i decided to try it out on the 29g, it went pretty smooth, i kinda read directions as it was siphoning, lets say its just pretty stressful checking from you tank to the on/off switch to the sink to make sure its not overflowing. Once you get the rhythm down its not so bad. worked like a charm, i almost forgot declohrinator after like 5 minutes.. whoops. Anyways i;m sure it will be worth it with the big waterchanges for my 55g soo it was worth the $70 i paid for it.

That's great! The python saves a lot of heavy lifting...I love mine.thumbs2:

Less spills too caused by running around with buckets. Just watch the pressure, sometimes it'll flip the hose out of the tank! Good to have a helper at the sink.

When I just had my 55g and 20g going, doing water changes with buckets wasn't too too bad.
But as soon as I got my 80g with a 20g sump. Buckets were ridiculous... it was like an hour long episode changing water.
Now with the python it only takes like 20 minutes, I love it. It pays for its self.
Plus you can drain tanks that are on the ground which is what I love. When I cleaned out my sump, this is when I knew I loved it.

I just got one to use on my 125.. dang thing does not fit on my faucet.
I got all excited and pulled about 60 gal out of my tank cleaning ( I dump the water on my plants outside) and found out after I had the tank level low that I could not connect it to the fuacet... Lotsa buckets that day ;)
I'm looking forward to trying it with the rubber hose sink adapter.

That's funny! I almost did something similar but I only had a 20g at the time so it wasn't so bad. Do yourself a favor and take the python adapter with you to the store when you go buy the adapter. Just to make sure you get the right one. I also took the end cap off the sink's facet to make sure I got an adapter that would fit.

Harder to put off doing water changes too, since using python isn't very time consuming.

I love my python!! I run very hot water thru mine before putting any water in the tanks -- that way and bacteria or junk that may have built up in it is gone!! Maybe that sounds silly, but I feel better about things!!:fish2:
