Are they any good? lol
I'm going to Toronto this Summer.I can imagine how much it has changed.
I even heard Lowe's is in Canada now!lol
Ellen its hard to cancel school in a town where skidoos are raod legal in the winter. lol
We never get much snow in the city. We like to complain that we're in massive storms constantly, but people in this city just get helpless whenever it snows. We had about 3 days of solid snowfall, but then it all started to melt really quickly. Seemed like nobody in the city owned a pair of waterproof boots that day...
I've seen one of these restaurants but I can't remember where it was. Nowhere near the downtown area, it was more West.
I'm sure you'll be quite impressed with some of the changes we've made when you get here Northernguy. The CN tower looks amazing at night ever since they covered it with LED's.
I can't say how often they do it (I know they do themes with the lights for holidays or celebrations), but it's not uncommon to look up at night (provided you're in the right part of the city) and see the whole tower lit up with moving, multicoloured patterns.
They've done the same with the SkyDome, but I'm not sure if they left those up. Either way, make an effort to keep an eye out for it, it's something worth seeing.
Pretty sure I've seen a few Lowe's here to...

yep, theyre good
as for school closings, it never happened for me. i remember in high school we had a huge arse blizzard and they never called it off. i never went though since about half of the kids in the school lived in the country (which makes no sense, theres dozens of high schools here) and most took the bus, and highways with storms arent the best, so most stayed home. if more than about 40% of the people were missing the teacher said anyone with a car just go home, everyone else do what you want. i lived like 5 minutes from the school so driving there was a breeze

lol, we're not sissies! i guess they just see it as being frozen water, deal with it
I don't actually remember when the lights were done. I think it was maybe 2 years ago?
If your son likes hockey, take him to the hall of fame, I've never been myself but it may be the only chance he ever gets.
There's been a lot of talk over the last year or so about that building. They never get any visitors any more so they were thinking of closing the hall of fame and demolishing it or selling it. I think there was talk of turning it into a hotel at one point?

They may move it but there is way too much history in there to close it.
He'll have plenty more chances but he is going this summer.
My son lives and breathes hockey! lol

He is also at the arena 5 days a week.It is seriously my third home!
The AC is my second! lmaothumbs2:
I have often thought about moving out west but I havent got sick of Ontario yet, just the taxes!
I turned down a job in Revelstoke yrs ago.I had a place lined up and almost made the move.My buddy ended buyind a place there right on the river. It turned out that his place was right at the bottom of that huge ski run they opened there and he got 8 times what he paid for his place.
He bought a fishing lodge here in Ontario and is now living happily ever after!
lol I'm not jelous just a little green around the gills.I was looking at the place he bought and sold before he did!
