View Full Version : Check out my list plz! ;)
Hey guys this is the list I've come up with so far.
About 2-4red cherry shrimp's
1 apple snail
12 neon tetras
1 blue ram
2 Otocinclus catfish ( not sure if they like schooling or not)
My tank set up will be
55gal, with christmas moss wall, then a moss lawn followed , (not sure what type of moss to use for the lawn)
Sooo guys, does it look compatible? Hope its not over stocked? and I wont be getting the shrimp, snail or the otos till my tank settles for about 1 month, that way all the alge grows for them.

The ram may eat your snails. My black skirt tetra's ate mine. You could have no snails and more rams or other tetra's.

And Otocinclus are schooling creatures, but you'd have to keep them well fed with REAL algae if you were to keep at least six of them as they deserve.

shrimp are group animals and should be with a minimum of 10... but if you get a ram they will be lunch very quickly

Dave hmmm what do you mean by real algae? btw would I still have to feed otos with other foods, even if they eat algae from my tank? and same for shrimp?
I just thought that I couldnt keep to many atos and shrimps because their wouldnt be enough algae to go around?

If you run out of algae in your tanks you're going to have to harvest algae in a separate little container. Ottos can't survive on algae wafers because there isn't actually a lot of algae in them (despite the name). Shrimp will pretty much eat left over fish food so they'll be fine
