My two sons came to me yesterday with an idea to paint my upstairs bathroom like the ocean (eg. Sea creatures, Light house, clouds and seagulls ect.) I have been thinking about it and I'm thinking this can be done and not only cute but speacial because they helped!! I was wondering a few things tho...
1. What would you think stepping into a crapper that looked like that?
2.You think it iwould be a good idea to let the kids paint?
3.If yes then what type of Paint should I go with?
So if Anyone has any ideas they would like to share, I'd love all I can get.
Thanks in advance.

that is my fear...I am going to have to look into paint that washes off us easy but also washable because my bathroom gets HOTT and it's dusty so I'm always doing the ol' scrub down (through out the house with my crew):14: :help: LOL

here's my bathroom. maybe give you an idea. i like color and the ocean. that's why my bathroom looks like that lol. for paint you're going to want to use a durable satin enamel. i used behr paint. you want to use bathroom/kitchen enamel because of the moisture that will build up from the shower. i also suggest re-caulking around the shower and sink areas with a good silicone. my next project is to make my master bedroom look like the forest

To get paint out of clothes i use vinager...it works really good on cotton. For the characters and such go online and get colorbook pictures. Then make your own stenicals. I would use characters from disney movies too, like Finding Nemo and the Little Mermaid...even Shark Tales for ideas on how to draw them. Add some seaweed in your design too to make it look real...
Just some advice from a teen who is creative

Well Thanks a bunch Lindsay...I love your Ideas, I have alot of the coloring pages already didn't even think to use those...I only needed stenciles for the little things like sea shells and star fish...wanted something cute but now with the ideas you gave I really feel like drawing it all. I think that is what I will do. I LOVEEEEE to draw all of the Disney characters..do it for the kids all the time, I really can't believe I didnt think about the Shark Tales or Finding Nemo movies...I thought of The Little Mermaid because my son likes crabs..lol
