I got some frags today! Guess I'm back in the game.

Here they are acclimating:

And here, just for fun, a picture of my clowns enjoying some of the numerous anemones that are taking over the tank...

Nice! It's interesting that they come like that (I've never seen just random "frags" sitting around). So, do you then just place them in the tank so that they'll attach to something?

Thank you! :22: I'm still working on cleaning up the tank. However, the water quality is fine, so I think the frags will be okay.

I'm planning The Great Anemone Harvest. I'll have to tickle their feet and see if I can induce them to let go.

I'm wondering if I place an extra powerhead in there, for a while, if that will help get rid of the cyano? It should...in theory...

Yes. They sell bits of coral like that - you can place them where you like. You can anchor them as well, but since I'm cleaning things up, I'd rather not do that just yet.

Many grow relatively slowly, so you have time to muck with them as they do...

Glad everything's coming back together. What did you get for frags? About all I could recognize is some zoas

Good question.

There's a Royal Thunder zoa...and a purple paly...

The others are all montis I think...but I PM'd the vendor. I hope he gets back to me with their official names.

Then we'll both know :hmm3grin2orange:

Just got a reply:

Montipora undata is the turqoise one...

The green one is Hydnopora

The orange one is Montipora danae and the purple paly is the Purple Fusion Palythoa
